Educational Services

The Northampton County Conservation District offers a wide range of educational services designed to promote environmental stewardship and sustainability. Our programs provide students, educators, and the community with valuable resources on soil and water conservation, watershed management, and environmental protection. Through workshops, hands-on activities, and outreach events, we aim to inspire and equip individuals of all ages to make informed, responsible decisions for a healthier environment.

Our premier educational event is the annual Envirothon competition. The goal of the Envirothon is to encourage students to learn more about our environmental and natural resources, enabling them to become more conservation-oriented adults. The event has been endorsed by the PA State Department of Education, Office of Environmental Education and NCCD has hosted our local event since 1998. There is no charge for entering the Envirothon. The event is open to students attending 9th through 12th grades in Northampton County.
